Questions about our free trade tools

Are these export and import calculators free?

Yes. Every tool is free, needs no signup and runs in your browser, so your figures stay on your device.

Is the import duty calculator the same as ICEGATE?

It uses the same BCD + SWS + IGST method. Always confirm the final rate for your HS code on ICEGATE before filing.

How do I find the HSN code of my product?

Use the HSN Code Finder with your product name, then check the chapter notes and the duty calculator for the rate.

Which documents are needed to export from India?

Usually IEC, GST LUT, commercial invoice, packing list, shipping bill, bill of lading or airway bill and a certificate of origin when needed.

Should I quote FOB or CIF to a buyer?

FOB keeps freight risk with the buyer; CIF lets you control shipping. Use the FOB/CFR/CIF calculator to compare both prices.
